Police check if Charlotte slayings, Lancaster death related

Police continue their investigation into the shooting deaths of three people in Charlotte and, according to one media report, are checking whether there is a connection to an earlier South Carolina shooting death.

WBTV reports police are looking into whether the deaths of the three men found on Friday is connected to a shooting in Lancaster.

The station reports that Antonio Massey, who was shot and killed last month, was a friend of one of the victims found in Charlotte.

Police found 29-year-old Naquivs Benson and 28-year-old Jarvis Benson – who are brothers – and 30-year-old Javarius Deshawn McGee dead of gunshot wounds in a Charlotte home on Friday.

Police say the shootings do not appear random but have not indicated if they are looking for suspects.
