A York County veterans advocacy group will sponsor a Wreaths Across America ceremony on Christmas Eve Thursday in Rock Hill.

The Rolling Thunder group will gather at Fountain Park in downtown at 11:30 a.m. then ride to the Veterans Garden memorial site at Rock Hill’s Glencairn Garden. A wreath will be placed at the garden’s POW/MIA memorial at noon Thursday.

The public is invited to be part of this event. Donations will be accepted for wreaths that will be placed at veterans graves in 2016.

Wreaths Across America is a non-profit volunteer group that sponsors wreath laying at the graves of soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery and other sites.
