Victim just turned 21 in deadly Lancaster Christmas crash

The person who died in a Christmas Day crash in Lancaster County near the North Carolina state line has been identified as a Union County, N.C. man who had just turned 21 four days earlier.

Shea Jovan Mackey, 21, of Waxhaw, N.C, died at the scene after a two-vehicle crash on S.C. 75,., said Mike Morris, Lancaster County Coroner.

Mackey was in the front passenger seat of a 2006 Saturn when the car and a 1997 Toyota driven by a woman from Waxhaw collided on Waxhaw Highway around 12:50 Christmas Day, troopers said.

The road was closed for about three hours and five people were injured.
