One killed in crash after pickup strikes lawnmower in Orangeburg County

One person is dead after a pickup struck a lawnmower late Saturday night in Orangeburg County.

A lawnmower and a 2010 Ford pickup truck were both traveling west on Winter Creek Road when the truck struck the mower in the rear at 11:15 p.m., according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. The driver of the mower sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the truck was not injured.
