Winthrop hosts live radio show on S.C. primary
Winthrop University will play host to a live radio broadcast on Tuesday focused on the upcoming South Carolina primaries.
“Charlotte Talks,” the public affairs show of the public radio station WFAE-FM, will host a live panel discussion at 7 p.m. in Dina’s Place in the DiGiorgio Campus Center.
Featured on the panel will be Adolphus Belk, director of Winthrop’s African-American Studies program; Scott Huffmon, a political science professor at Winthrop University and director of the Winthrop Poll; and Andy Shain, a political reporter for the State newspaper in Columbia.
The discussion will be broadcast live at 90.7 FM, and listeners can live-tweet questions to host Mike Collins using the hashtag #CTSCPrimary16.
Tickets for the event are free and available online. Attendees must be in their seats by 6:45 p.m. for the broadcast.
