Midday snow dusts York, Chester, Lancaster counties
York, Chester and Lancaster counties received a “quick dusting” of midday snow Friday, providing for some nice scenery but almost no accumulation.
“A band of light to moderate snow is moving across portions of upstate South Carolina,” the Weather Service said in a special weather statement. “The snow burst may briefly mix with sleet and result in a dusting across the area.”
In downtown Rock Hill, snow fell for about an hour, and began to dissipate shortly after noon. No significant accumulations are expected.
