Herald reporter discusses SC primary on C-SPAN broadcast Saturday
The Herald’s politics and public affairs reporter will appear Saturday morning on the C-SPAN program Washington Journal to discuss the South Carolina Republican primary.
Bristow Marchant, 30, will talk about Saturday’s race among six GOP candidates to win South Carolina’s endorsement and next week’s Democratic primary contest between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Marchant is scheduled to appear around 8 a.m.
A Columbia native and 2007 College of Charleston graduate, Marchant has been with The Herald since September 2014. In addition to following the 2016 presidential campaign in the state, he also covers York County public affairs, as well as state and regional politics, for the newspaper.
Washington Journal can be seen live on C-SPAN and c-span.org, and heard on C-SPAN radio on XM satellite and the C-SPAN mobile app. Questioners can call in or tweet their questions to @cspanwj. The show will be available online after the broadcast.
Any registered voter can cast their ballot in the Republican primary this Saturday, or wait to vote the Democratic contest on Feb. 27.
