Open house Thursday to unveil York County’s comprehensive plan
After a year of community involvement, York County is ready to share its draft comprehensive plan with the public, and give citizens one last opportunity to offer feedback.
County planners will host an open house at Banks Trail Middle School in Fort Mill on Thursday to unveil their draft goals, strategies and land-use policies. Once finalized, the documents will guide York County planning decisions for the next 10 years.
York County held six community events and 14 “stakeholder” meetings last year to advance the plan, and have incorporated citizen feedback into the final document.
Thursday’s event is planned to be an “open house,” so anyone can drop by to see the documents and talk with planners between 5 and 7:30 p.m.
