Former Gamecock and South Pointe High football standout Stephon Gilmore will join Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail Friday in South Carolina.

Gilmore, a Rock Hill native and now a Buffalo Bills defensive back, was to be joined by former Gamecock teammate Alshon Jeffery at campaign events for Clinton in Orangeburg and Columbia.

“I am excited and honored to join Alshon and others later today in Orangeburg and Columbia in support of Secretary Clinton,” said Gilmore.

Gilmore added: “She is a transformational leader and would be an excellent president.”
