16 displaced after fire damages 4 Rock Hill apartment units
Sixteen people were displaced after a fire at a Rock Hill apartment complex Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.
The fire happened about 1:20 p.m. at Paces River Apartments, according to Battalion Chief Mark Simmons of the Rock Hill Fire Department. The blaze damaged four units, the occupants of which were displaced.
One firefighter was treated for a minor cut on his arm.
The residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross, Simmons said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This is the second apartment fire this week in Rock Hill. On Tuesday, six families were displaced at Eagles Landing. The cause of that fire still remains under investigation.
