Police cars, flatbeds, bucket trucks, even garbage collectors could all be yours.

The city of Rock Hill is holding a surplus auction on Saturday to sell some used city vehicles and equipment.

Buyers will have the chance to buy any of 65 items listed online. Fifteen cars and vans are up for sale, many of them former “interceptors” from the Rock Hill Police Department – although scrubbed of the lights and police markings.

Thirty-three trucks, pickups and SUVs will be available, including long-bed transporters, a few bucket trucks with extension arms for working at heights, and at least three side or rear loader “refuse trucks.”

Also up for sale are several lawnmowers, tractors, two backhoes, an electric forklift, a “truckster,” and a golf cart.

The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the old American Legion hall, 199 S. Cherry Road. Doors will open for an item preview at 8 a.m.
