Fort Mill’s Baxter Spring Fest, parade moved to Sunday
The 10th annual Baxter Spring Fest and St. Patrick’s Day parade has been moved to Sunday, starting at 2 p.m.
Organizers moved the event from Saturday to Sunday because of the forecast for rain.
The free festival along five blocks on Market Street has more than 100 exhibitors, entertainment for all ages, music, dancing, new games and contests, shopping, prizes, and food and beverage vendors.
The parade, which starts at 5 p.m., will feature Irish dancers, bagpipers, bands, floats, mascots, and decorated entries from residents.
There are prizes for best decorated golf cart, best family/neighborhood cluster entry, and best kids' entry. No registration is required. To enter the parade show up at the north parking lot of the Baxter YMCA by 4:40 p.m. for the parade line-up.
