Guess who’s playing Rock Hill this summer, America.

Rock Hill’s Old Town Association on Friday announced the lineup for this summer’s concert series at the Old Town Amphitheater. This year’s series will feature classic rock bands America, The Guess Who and Toto playing downtown from June through August.

Tickets go on sale Friday at www.onlyinoldtown.com/concert and at http://get.crowntickets.com.

All the acts had hits in the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. The Winnipeg-based Guess Who, playing June 4, had a 1970 No. 1 hit with “American Woman,” which became a hit again 30 years later when it was covered by Lenny Kravitz.

The following month, America (ironically, an English band), will reprise their 1970s set list with hits like “Horse With No Name,” “Sister Golden Hair” and “Muskrat Love.”

Toto will finish the summer with a Wednesday night concert Aug. 17, playing their 1980s hits “Africa” and “Rosanna.” Their most recent studio album is Toto XIV.

Opening acts for the concert series will be announced at a later date. Ticket prices vary depending on whether concertgoers want to be on the dance floor or terrace seating.

The concert series will take place at the Old Town Amphitheater on East Black Street beside Rock Hill City Hall.
