Anti-violence prayer vigil at Rock Hill church Thursday
A prayer vigil will be held on Thursday to rally community support to stop violence in the community.
The vigil will be held at 6 p.m. at the Hermon Presbyterian Church, 107 Heckle Blvd.
Organized by the Committee for Religious and Racial Reconciliation, the vigil is open to “all worshipers” from Rock Hill and surrounding communities who want to “Stop the Violence” and pray to save the lives of others.
The vigil is being held during South Carolina’s Victims Rights Week, amid other events that mark the victims of violent crime. The York County Coroner’s Office hosted a vigil for crime victims on Tuesday at their Rock Hill office.
