Beds rolled down Main Street

Beds rolled down the middle of Main Street and thousands tailgated Saturday on the final day of the Come-See-Me Festival.

Nearly a dozen festival events drew large crowds, including the Make a Bed & Make a Difference Bed Race and the Tailgate Party at Winthrop Lake.

At the bed race, six teams from churches and area businesses brought beds on wheels to see who could roll down Main Street the fastest. The event raised money for the Family Promise homeless shelter.

Later Saturday, thousands gathered at Winthrop Lake for the Tailgate Party for live entertainment, a barbecue competition, skydiving exhibition and fireworks.
