If the Weather Channel is right, Rock Hill will hit 100 degrees Sunday.

Lancaster, too.

Chester will be downright chilly. Only 99.

In what is expected to be the first flirting with triple digits in 2016, the weekend is expected to be a scorcher.

The National Weather Service and AccuWeather.com are forecasting just a shade less than the century mark – but not much. Highs by any measure will be in the low to mid-90s Saturday, mid- to upper 90s with the Weather Channel saying 100 Sunday, then 90s next week at least through Thursday.

In mid-June last year, temperatures soared to 100 degrees in all three counties.
