Walmart offering hands-on demonstrations of new payment mobile app

Walmart is conducting hands-on demonstrations of the mobile app that provides for customers a new way to pay for groceries, medications and more at area stores this week.

Walmart is demonstrating the Walmart Pay app in four area stores Friday through Sunday.

The app, which allows customers to pay for Walmart products using iOS or Android phones through a QR code, was recently rolled out in all South Carolina locations. Receipts and gift cards can be accessed on the app, and the store says the new features include picking up online orders or refilling pharmacy prescriptions.

Customers can learn how to use the new app at these locations, any time during store hours:

  • Lake Wylie Walmart Supercenter on S.C. 274
  • Rock Hill Walmart Supercenter on Old York Road
  • Tega Cay Walmart Supercenter on Stone Crest Boulevard
  • Indian Land Walmart Supercenter on Charlotte Highway
