Sights and sounds of holidays at Rock Hill’s annual Christmas parade

Dr. Suess’ The Grinch made an appearance on several floats and the South Pointe High School varsity football team drew applause at the annual Rock Hill Christmas parade Friday in downtown Rock Hill.

Hundreds of spectators gathered along Oakland Avenue and Main Street to watch bands, dancers and Santa parade down the street. Fire trucks wowed children and firefighters walked alongside the parade route shaking hands with them.

The parade was among the first events of the annual ChristmasVille festival that continues every day in December until Christmas Eve.
