Authorities in Lancaster County are investigating after a man died in a Lowe’s store parking lot in Indian Land Saturday.

Deputies and EMS responded before 9 a.m. when customers found the 43-year-old man in the lot located at the corner of S.C. 160 and U.S. 521, Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile said in a statement.

The man was found facedown near his truck and had been bleeding, the sheriff said.

The home improvement store is located is just south of the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, and east of Fort Mill.

Officials found no evidence of any confrontation or violence, Faile said in the statement. Investigators learned from his family the man had a medical condition that had recently worsened, according to the sheriff.

The man’s identity has not been released.

Lancaster County Coroner Karla Knight-Deese said Monday her office is investigating and has ordered an autopsy and toxicology testing.
