The 19th annual McConnells antique tractor, engine and craft show will be 8 a.m. Saturday May 21 at the McConnells Ball field/Community Center, 189 Church St.

There will be demonstrations of antique equipment, live music by the Hudson Family and a barbecue and raffle by the McConnells Volunteer Fire Department. Free admission.

Special events

▪ “Gospel Mass” by Robert Ray will be presented by the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Chancel Choir and the Rock Hill Ecumenical Choir with Zinorl Bronola and The Plair Ensemble, 5 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill, 15000 York Road, Charlotte. M. Myron Walker II and Jeffery Sligh, directors. Admission is free.

▪ The 6th annual Glencairn BloomFest will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday in the Meadow at Glencairn Garden. This fun-filled family event, sponsored by Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism and the Glencairn Garden Advisory Committee, will feature plants, garden art, pottery, baskets and other garden-themed items for sale. There will also be activities for children as part of “National Kids to Parks Day.” There will be live music and garden tours and food available for purchase. ▪ The Zeta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Alpha Gamma Psi Christian Sorority will hold its 2016 Spring Line Probate, 1 p.m. Saturday at Emmett Scott Center, 801 Crawford Road, Rock Hill. Free and open to the public. The sorority was founded April 20, 2011.

▪ Winthrop University and the South Carolina Department of Social Services will present a workshop on foster parenting from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. July 16 at the Fort Mill YMCA, 857 Promenade Walk. Fundraisers

▪ Rock Hill High School Band of Distinction will host a Blender Vendor, Artisan Fair and barbecue, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2115 Celanese Road, Rock Hill. More than 30 vendors and artisans will display and sell their products. Door prizes.

▪ A benefit for Jamesa Mickles, who needs a kidney transplant, will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday at The Well, 135 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill. The benefit includes live entertainment, face painting, games, craft table, snacks and speakers.

▪ Harmonies for The Haven, a family fun day fundraiser, will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at The Dog House, 3700 India Hook Road, Rock Hill. Admission by donation. ▪ The Rock Hill Music Club’s 15th annual Musical Tour of Homes has been rescheduled for 2:30-5:30 p.m. Sunday. Tour sites include the replica of the Greek Parthenon home of Dr. and Mrs. Earnest Archer, the historic home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Roddey and the restored former Andrew Jackson Ballroom in the Guardian Fidelity building. At each site local musicians will perform. At the ballroom will be a historic display of Rock Hill Music Club from 1914-2016 and Elliott White Springs’ Springmaid advertisements. There will be a silent auction of a Springs Mills bed ensemble designed by the late Princess Grace of Monaco. A reception will be held at the Archer home. Tickets are $15 and available at each location, from club members or at the Arts Council of York County. Proceeds go to local music scholarships, awards to Winthrop University, York County high schools and musical organizations.

Entertainment

▪ The Greater York Chamber of Commerce will kick off the 2016 Downtown Live Concert Series on Friday featuring Pocketful of Strange, a four-piece group playing rhythm & blues, soul, and classic rock from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on the lawn at the Chamber office, 23 E. Liberty St.. Food by the Philanthropic Lodge No. 32 with adult beverages available. Admission is free. For more information call 803-684-2590.

▪ Allison Creek Bluegrass will host J. Max McKee at 7 p.m. Thursday at Allison Creek Presbyterian Church, S.C. 274 at Allison Creek Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. food is available at 6:30. Free admission.

▪ With Strings Attached, the musical duo featuring Elda Franklin on viola and Mary Ann Helton on piano, will present its annual spring concert noon May 17 at St. John’s United Methodist Church sanctuary, 321 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill. Joining them will be Mike Williams and featured vocalist Megan Calkins. Free admission but food contributions for local food pantries are welcome.

▪ Rock Hill Community Theatre presents a matinee performance of C. B. Guilford’s “Bull in a China Shop,” directed by Russell Luke, 3 p.m. Sunday. Additional performances will be 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. May 22 at the theatre, 546 S. Cherry Road, Suite N, behind The ROC Thrift Store. Clubs

▪ The Silver Fox Club, sponsored by the Upper Palmetto YMCA, is an active senior group age 50 and older who are interested in travel and meeting others with similar interests. The Club regularly goes on day trips once a month to nearby cities. Other trips are 5-6 nights such as one planned to visit Chicago in September. ▪ The Arts Council of Chester County will host a BYOB Adult Art Class with Penelope Winslow 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the arts council, 123 Main St. Participants will use acrylic paints on canvas to create a colorful and vibrant magnolias. ▪ AARP Drivers Safety Program will be offered for ages 26 and older 1-5 p.m. May 26 at Fort Lawn Community Center, Fort Lawn.
