York, Clover plan Easter egg hunts

The cities of York and Clover will host separate Easter egg hunts on Thursday, April 2. Details:

▪  The York Parks and Recreation Department and Bi-Lo will present its egg hunt for children 12 and younger at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The free event will be at the York Recreation Complex, 74 Fourth St. Bring an Easter basket. Bi-Lo will sell hot dogs to benefit York Place. Details: 803-684-3742.

▪  Clover will host its sixth annual egg hunt from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at New Centre Park, 501 Memorial Drive in Clover.

The first hour will include children’s inflatables, Easter games, music, snacks and refreshments. The Easter Bunny will pose for pictures.

The egg hunt will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Children will be divided into three age groups: 2-4, 5-8 and 9-11.

Events will begin at 6 p.m. rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to arrive early. Register children upon arrival to receive a ticket for free popcorn.
