Philadelphia UMC plans supper, singing
A family night supper with singing by Gene Black and his family will be April 15 at Philadelphia United Methodist Church 2260 Chester Highway, York.
The supper will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the singing will be at 7:30. The menu will be spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink.
Donations will be accepted for Relay for Life.
Church welcomes worship minister
River Hills Community Church welcomes John Leon Lewis as minister of worship and arts beginning April 12.
Lewis has been a conductor of choirs and orchestras, is a skilled vocalist and recording artist, an accomplished pianist and a sought after Christian entertainer.
Lewis studied voice and piano at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Md., and received a music degree from Towson State University in Towson, Md.
Tabernacle of Praise plans Founding Day
Tabernacle of Praise Church International, Wood Street, York, will host the 18th Founding Day celebration at 3 p.m. April 12 with Bishop Perry Davidson.
Lunch will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
York church plans spring revival
Haven of Rest Baptist Church, Connolly Road, York, will host a spring revival at 7 p.m. April 16 to 18 with the Rev. Matt Burrell.
Special music will be nightly by Jeremy Edens, The Brothers and Sisters and the Bullock Creek Cowboy Church Band.
Graham Library announces Ladies Tea and Tour
Amber Brantly will serve as the keynote speaker for this year’s annual Ladies Tea and Tour at the Billy Graham Library with two seatings at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. April 18.
In 2014, Brantly’s family made world news as her husband Dr. Kent Brantly, a medical missionary serving in Liberia with Samaritan’s Purse, contracted the Ebola virus.
The event includes canapés and desserts, teas, musical entertainment and a guided tour of the Billy Graham Library. Advance reservations and payment are required by April 17. Preferred seating costs $40; regular seating, $30.
Other upcoming events are scheduled.
▪ 1-3 p.m. April 25: Book signing with David and Jason Benham. Authors, speakers and real estate entrepreneurs David and Jason Benham will sign copies of their new book, “Whatever the Cost.”
▪ 8 a.m. May 8-9: Mother’s Day Breakfast and Tour. Families are invited to treat mom to a breakfast buffet followed by a guided Journey of Faith tour. Each mother receives a gift. Breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. each day, with the event running through 10 a.m. Advance reservations and payment are required by May 7. Tickets cost $20 per person, 3 and younger get in free.

Young Life of York County is at work with teens in the community, providing leaders to help them make wise decisions.
Young Life is a Christian ministry committed to making an impact on kids’ lives and giving them hope for tomorrow. Young Life reaches suburban, urban and multicultural kids, as well as kids with disabilities and teenage mothers.

Affirmation of York County is a new support group for people in faith communities who seek support and understanding for themselves and others in working through the issues confronted by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and their friends.

River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, holds Wednesday Family Night through May.
Adult studies begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by dinner in the gym at 6:15 p.m. with children and adult classes starting at 7 p.m. Dinner costs $6 for adults and $3 for children.
Family night is open to the community and the first dinner is free.
