The 2015 Western York County Senior Expo will be 9 a.m. to noon May 5 at Filbert Presbyterian Church, on U.S. 321 between York and Clover.
The event is sponsored by Individuals Caring for Elders and the Greater Clover and Greater York chambers of commerce.
Paul Boger, executive director of the York chamber, said this year’s vendors include home health care agencies, assisted-living providers, hospice, doctors and hospitals, financial advisers, attorneys, the Social Security Administration, the Veterans Administration and others.
“It’s all those kinds of things that are out there that can be beneficial and help seniors and caregivers,” he said.

Boger said the expo, which has attracted about 250 to 300 people in recent years, is provided to make it easy for seniors, their caregivers and others to get information about a variety of services.
“There is nowhere close by for these seniors and their caregivers to go for information, within a reasonable driving distance,” he said.
He said vendors are not allowed to gather information to use for future solicitations.
He said the event, which will include door prizes, food, beverages, musical entertainment, health screenings and health services information, is limited to 50 vendors.
