Clover Wesleyan Church, 102 Parkview Lane, Clover, will host special events on Saturday, May 23. A youth bake sale and yard sale will begin at 7 a.m., and a women’s hot dog sale will begin at 10 a.m.
Hickory Grove church plans revival
Mount Zion AME Zion Church, Hickory Grove, will host a one-day revival at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 24 with the Rev. Vincent Long.
St. James AME Zion plans special program
St. James AME Zion Church, Church Street, Hickory Grove, will host a Christian education program, “The Covering,” at 3 p.m. May 30. Wear your favorite hat.
Pleasant View AME plans family, friends day
Pleasant View AME Zion Church, 1736 Old Columbia Road, Chester, will celebrate Family and Friends Day at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24. The church will celebrate Men’s Day at 2 p.m. Sunday, June, 28. The Rev. Mary L. English is the pastor. The events are open to the public.
Clover church plans fundraiser drawing
Clover AME Zion Church, Kings Mountain Highway, Clover, will host a fundraiser drawing for a chance to win a 50-inch television. Tickets are $5.
The drawing will be May 30. Tickets are available from members, Boyd Tire and Appliance in York and Clover, Beauty of Color in Rock Hill or by email at cloveramezchurch@gmail.com.
River Hills church names associate worship minister
River Hills Community Church has named Bobby Little as associate minister of worship and arts.
Little participated on a worship team leading 30,000 students in St. Louis, toured with worship leader Ryan Internicola, has led worship services in the Charlotte area and has recorded with a Christian recording artist.
He and wife Marcy have two children, Kaity, who sings with the Clover High School Choraliers, and Xander, who attends Oakridge Middle School.
Bible study opens registration
Community Bible Study – an international, interdenominational, in-depth Bible study –meets at 9 a.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 16 at River Hills Community Church.
The study is for women and their children through high school age.
The study is not affiliated with a church. All communities, churches, backgrounds, ages and levels of Bible knowledge are welcome.
The 30 week study of Daniel and Revelation costs $25 for adults and $10 for children, and includes lesson books.

Weeping Mary plans new service times
Weeping Mary Baptist Church, U.S. 321 North, Bowling Green, has sew service times, with Sunday school at 8:45 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Catholic church plans June 5 festival
All Saints Catholic Church, 530 S.C. 274, will hold a festival at 4 p.m. June 5.
There will be barbecue, a cornhole tournament, a firetruck, games, bounce houses and more. Tickets will be available at the door.
