Divine Saviour plans May 30 yard sale

The women of Divine Saviour will hold their 15th annual yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 30 at Divine Saviour Catholic Church, 232 Herndon Ave., York.

The sale will include furniture, household items, baby items, clothing, electronics and more.

Donations will be accepted at the church through Friday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Proceeds benefit the charities and ministries provided by the Women of Divine Saviour and Divine Saviour church.

New Beginnings plans women’s night, fashion show

New Beginnings Baptist Church, Old North Main Street, Clover, will host Liberation 2015 Women’s Night of Empowerment at 6 p.m. Friday, May 29.

Southern Gospel Jubilee planned

First Baptist Church, Chester Highway, McConnells, will host the third annual Southern Gospel Jubilee at 6 p.m. May 30 with the Heritage Quartet and the Riverside Boys.

Sharon UMC plans hot dog supper

Sharon United Methodist Church, Shannon Street, Sharon, will have a hot dog supper from 5 to 7:30 p.m. June 6 with hot dogs, brats, baked beans, pasta salads, chips, desserts and drinks. Donations accepted.

St. James AME Zion plans special program

St. James AME Zion Church, Church Street, Hickory Grove, will host a Christian education program, “The Covering,” at 3 p.m. May 30. Wear your favorite hat.

Haven of Rest plans gospel sing

Haven of Rest Baptist Church, Connolly Road, York, will host a gospel singing featuring Higher Ground of Mount Holly at 7 p.m. June 6. A love offering will be taken, and a nursery will be provided.

Clover church plans fundraiser drawing

Clover AME Zion Church, Kings Mountain Highway, Clover, will host a fundraiser drawing for a chance to win a 50-inch television. Tickets are $5.

Bible study opens registration

​Community Bible Study – an international, interdenominational, in-depth Bible study –meets at 9 a.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 16 at River Hills Community Church.

The study is for women and their​​ children through high school age.

The study is not affiliated with a church. All communities, churches, backgrounds, ages and levels of Bible knowledge are welcome.

The 30 week study of Daniel and Revelation costs $25 for adults and $10 for children, and includes lesson books.

Weeping Mary plans new service times

Weeping Mary Baptist Church, U.S. 321 North, Bowling Green, has new service times, with Sunday school at 8:45 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Catholic church plans June 5 festival

All Saints Catholic Church, 530 S.C. 274, will hold a festival at 4 p.m. June 5.

There will be barbecue, a cornhole tournament, a firetruck, games, bounce houses and more. Tickets will be available at the door.
