First Baptist Church plans fish fry, bake sale
First Baptist Church, 102 S. Congress St., York, will host a youth mission fish fry and bake sale benefit from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at the church fellowship hall.
Plates are $9. They include fish and chicken strips or a combination. Plates also include french fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. A drink is included with eat-in orders only.
The meal is catered by Catfish Cove. Proceeds go to the youth mission fund.
Clover Wesleyan men plan hot dog sale
The men’s group at Clover Wesleyan Church, at the corner of South Main Street and Parkview Lane in Clover, will have a hot dog sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.

St. Paul UMC plans ice cream social
St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1550 St. Paul Church Road, Clover, will have an old-fashioned ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29.
The event will include hot dogs and homemade ice cream. Everyone is welcome. Donations will be accepted.
First Baptist holding preschool sign ups

Young Life of York County is working with teens in the community to leaders to help them make wise decisions.
Young Life is a Christian ministry committed to making an impact on kids’ lives and giving them hope. Founded in 1941, Young Life leaders build positive relationships with young people to model and communicate the truth about Jesus Christ.

Affirmation of York County is a newly formed support group for people in faith communities who seek support and understanding for themselves and others in working through the issues confronted by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and their friends.

Community Bible Study – an international, interdenominational, in-depth Bible study – meets 9 a.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 16 at River Hills Community Church.
