St. Paul UMC plans ice cream social

St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1550 St. Paul Church Road, Clover, will have an old-fashioned ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29.

The event will include hot dogs and homemade ice cream. Everyone is welcome. Donations will be accepted.

Central Baptist to host concert

Central Baptist Church, Ross Cannon Street, York, will host the Promise Trio in concert at 6 p.m. Aug. 30.

Regeneration Church to host services

Regeneration Church Family Worship, North Congress Street, York, is a new nondenominational church that will have services at 11 a.m. Sundays.

Children’s church is available.

First Baptist holding preschool sign ups

The First Baptist Church preschool in York is still enrolling children in the five-day 4-year-old preschool program. For information, call the church office at 803-684-4297.

Adults needed for outreach

Young Life of York County is working with teens in the community to leaders to help them make wise decisions.

Young Life is a Christian ministry committed to making an impact on kids’ lives and giving them hope. Founded in 1941, Young Life leaders build positive relationships with young people to model and communicate the truth about Jesus Christ.

Faith-based support for LGBT community

Affirmation of York County is a newly formed support group for people in faith communities who seek support and understanding for themselves and others in working through the issues confronted by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and their friends.

Register now for Bible study

Community Bible Study – an international, interdenominational, in-depth Bible study – meets 9 a.m. Wednesdays beginning Sept. 16 at River Hills Community Church.

The study is for women and their children through high school age

The 30-week study of Daniel and Revelation costs $25 for adults and $10 for children, and includes lesson books.
