Bethel Baptist Fall Festival Oct. 10

Bethel Baptist Church, 6031 Charlotte Highway, York, will hold its fall festival at 11 a.m. Oct. 10.

Clover AME Zion plans yard sale

Clover AME Zion Church, Kings Mountain Highway, Clover, will have a yard sale at 8 a.m. Oct. 10.

A fish fry and hot dog sale will begin at 10 a.m. Fish plates are $6 and hot dog plates are $5.

St. James AME Zion plans pastor appreciation

St. James AME Zion Church, Church Street, Hickory Grove, will have a pastor appreciation event at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 11 celebrating seven years as pastor.

Mount Harmony UMC plans gospel choir anniversary

Mount Harmony United Methodist Church, Ridge Road, Clover, will have a gospel choir 70th anniversary Joy Night at 5 p.m. Oct. 10.

Weeping Mary plans breast cancer lunch

Weeping Mary Baptist Church, U.S. 321 North, Bowling Green, will have an Earth Angel Breast Cancer Foundation Pink Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at St. John Outreach Center, 1282 Bradford Heights Road, Gastonia, N.C.

Donation is $10. For tickets, call 704-678-1054. The event will include survivor recognition, a doctors panel and door prizes.

Ramah women plan bus trip

The ladies of Ramah Presbyterian Church, 980 Ramah Church Road, York, are planning a Nov. 7 bus trip to the Barn Dinner Theatre in Greensboro, N.C.

The group will depart from the church at 8:30 a.m. and return at approximately 5:30 p.m.. During the trip, they will have a buffet meal and see a show titled “Salute to America,” which is part of “Branson on the Road.”

Space is limited. Reservations must be made by Oct. 14. Cost $110 for each adult and $82 for a child. For reservations, call Jean Wyatt at 803-222-7315.

Journey plans yard, bake sale

The Journey at Lake Wylie, 5415 Highway 557, will hold a yard and bake sale 7 a.m.-noon Oct. 10 in the life center. A painted and re-purposed furniture section will be a feature of this year’s event. The church is accepting donations for this fundraising event.

Bill Graham Library to hold events

Events at the Billy Graham Library are:

▪ 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 17: The eighth annual Bikers with Boxes charity ride for Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child. For more information, email LibraryEvents@bgea.org.

▪ 6:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 20: Ladies Night Out with a preview of the annual Christmas at the Library at the Billy Graham Library. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and be among the first to see the library’s Christmas decorations and hear an encouraging message from Kendra Graham, wife of evangelist Will Graham. ▪ Billy Graham Library is partnering with the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh, N.C., for a special exhibit – “North Carolina’s Favorite Son: Billy Graham and His Remarkable Journey of Faith” – Nov. 6-July 10. Through interactive displays, multimedia and memorabilia, visitors can retrace Billy Graham’s steps through history and discover his faith and leadership at work during the Cold War, the battle against segregation, and through unprecedented partnerships with churches around the world.

Young Life of York County is working with teens in the community to leaders to help them make wise decisions.

Young Life is a Christian ministry committed to making an impact on kids’ lives and giving them hope. Founded in 1941, Young Life leaders build positive relationships with young people to model and communicate the truth about Jesus Christ.
