River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, is holding A Quiet Christmas service at 5 p.m. Dec. 5 for anyone struggling with grief and loss.

This service offers a new framework to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

Bible study new member class Dec. 2

Community Bible Study will hold a new member class 9:30-11:30 a.m. Dec. 2 at River Hills Community Church.

This study is an interdenominational, in-depth Bible study and not church affiliated.

The study of Revelation begins Dec. 9. Cost is $25 for adults, and $10 for children and includes the lesson book.

Community Cafe serves lunch Tuesdays

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays.

Adults needed for outreach

Young Life of York County is working with teens in the community to leaders to help them make wise decisions.

Young Life is a Christian ministry committed to making an impact on kids’ lives and giving them hope. Founded in 1941, Young Life leaders build positive relationships with young people to model and communicate the truth about Jesus Christ.

Affirmation of York County is a support group for people in faith communities who seek support and understanding for themselves and others in working through the issues confronted by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and their friends.
