Rock Hill High School rushed for over 330 yards in a 48-14 win as they broke the hearts of Nation Ford High fans looking for a miracle in the opening of their stadium.
Nation Ford High opened its brand new stadium after playing at Bob Jones Stadium at Fort Mill High for the past two years. The Falcons didn’t take long to christen the stadium as they scored after five plays to open the game when junior Thomas Condron connected with junior Will Ford on a 13-yard touchdown pass at 10:25 in the first quarter.
However, from there it was all Rock Hill for the majority of the game. Rock Hill’s senior running back Jamal Tyler rushed for 211 yards on 19 carries for the Bearcats and scored two touchdowns. Rock Hill’s senior quarterback Randall Dixon passed for 143 yards on 9-13 with four touchdowns.
Nation Ford fell to 1-2 on the season and plays Lewisville at home next week at 7:30 p.m.
