Free clothing offered March 21

The King’s Closet, a ministry at Christ the King Church, will host a free Community Clothing Closet 9 a.m.-noon March 21 at 13501 S. Tryon St.

Church holding yard sale March 21

The Good Samaritan United Methodist Women will hold a yard sale 7 a.m.-1 p.m. March 21 at the church, 5220 Crowders Cove Road.

Sausage biscuits, hot dogs and baked goods will be available.

Session offered on how to pray

Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5220 Crowders Cove Road, will offer Teaching Children to Pray 2-5 p.m. March 22.

Learn what is appropriate for different ages, simple prayer and what to say when prayers aren’t answered.

Class is open to adults, too, even those without children in their lives. Consider it baby-steps to prayer for the adult learner.

Child care is available, but reservations are required.

Smyrna church plans benefit ride

Canaan United Methodist Church, Canaan Church Road, will host a benefit ride for Tina Falls, a heart transplant candidate, at 9 a.m. March 28.

The ride will begin at the church. Kickstands are up at 10 a.m. for a three-and-half-hour ride.

Lunch is $5. There are three top prizes and door prizes.

Registration is $20 for one rider, $25 for two riders, which includes a T-shirt.

Program on Messiah set for April 1

The Journey at Lake Wylie presents Messiah in the Passover at 7 p.m. April 1.
