Smyrna church benefit ride March 28
Canaan United Methodist Church, Canaan Church Road, will host a benefit ride at 9 a.m. March 28 for Tina Falls, a heart transplant candidate.
The ride will begin at the church. Kickstands are up at 10 a.m. for a three-and-half-hour ride.
Lunch is $5. There are three top prizes and door prizes.
Registration is $20 for one rider, $25 for two riders, which includes a T-shirt.

‘Injustice’ sculptures on display March 28
Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, 9401 S. Tryon St., will exhibit “Injustice” (Pathos), nine life-sized ceramic sculptures, with opening night 7 p.m. March 28.
The sculptures by artist Pamela (de la Roche) Murphy will be on display following Palm Sunday service, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday during Holy Week, and after Easter Sunday worship.
The sculptures have been shown on the West Coast and depict human injustice and suffering similar to the suffering Christ endured.

Program on Messiah set for April 1
The Journey at Lake Wylie presents Messiah in the Passover at 7 p.m. April 1.
Sam Nadler is a Jewish believer in Yeshua, who has been in Jewish ministry for almost 40 years. He is founder and president of Word of Messiah Ministries.

Holy Thursday service is at 7 p.m. April 2. Children’s classes are available for age preschool and younger.

Easter Sunday, April 5, offers three services: Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m., or Contemporary Worship Service at 9:30 or 11 a.m. Children’s classes will be available at contemporary services for ages through fifth grade.
Also on Easter Sunday, there will be a Family Scavenger Hunt at 12:30 p.m. that includes games and more. Hamburger and hot dog lunches will be available for $5. Money goes to summer camp scholarships.

Temple Kol Ami Passover Seder April 4
Temple Kol Ami will hold its annual second night of Passover Seder at 6 p.m. April 4 at Unity Presabyterian Church, 303 Tom Hall St.
The Second Seder has become a tradition and this year, professional chef and Johnson & Wales trained Margo Page is preparing the meal including beef brisket with sour cherry sauce and date glazed roasted chicken.

Father John Giuliani will bless Easter baskets at 1 p.m. Holy Saturday, April 4, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Road.
This centuries-old Easter European tradition of blessing food consumed on Easter Sunday symbolizes the end of the Lenten fast. All are welcome to attend.
