Clover High tennis shuts out Rock Hill
The boys’ varsity Blue Eagles tennis team flew over the Rock Hill Bearcats 6-0.
Flying high for the Blue Eagles at No. 1 singles, Justin White won 6-0, 6-0. No. 2 singles player Thomas Summers upended his opponent in a three-set nail-biter. At No. 3 singles, senior Patrick Smith won 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 4 singles, senior Rob Long won 6-1, 6-1, and at No 5 singles, senior Garrett Smith won 6-2, 6-2.
At No. 2 doubles, senior Holden McGill with Sean Elder won 6-1, 6-0. Clover improved to 2-0 in region play and 2-0 overall.
The junior varsity boys’ Blue Eagles tennis team flew to victory against a young Rock Hill Bearcats team, 5-0.
At No. 1 singles, Cameron Scobie prevailed 1-0. No. 2 singles, Jay Rowland, won 1-0, while No. 3 singles, Andy Brom, also prevailed 1-0.
At doubles, Garrison Love and Harry Snow won 0-0. Luke Barz scored his first career victory and an 8-2 win.
