Thursday Night fishing tourneys launch with 41 boats
The annual Thursday Night Tournament Trail kicked off April 2 with 41 boats.
“It has been a long cold winter, and it was good to have a pleasant night to get the season started,” said Erwin Gaston, who organizes the trail with Jeremy Cabe.
David Winters and Robin Cairco brought five bass to the scale weighing 22.22 pounds for first place.
Second place went to Ron and Roger Farrow with 17.69 pounds.
“We have 20 more tournaments to go before the championship,” Gaston said.
Tournaments are help Thursdays through Aug. 27. Registration runs 5:30-6:20 p.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area. Blast off is at 6:30 p.m. and weigh-in at 11 p.m. The two-night Championship Fish-off is Sept. 11-12.
