▪ On April 8, the Oakridge Middle School Lady Golden Eagles defeated Rawlinson Road and Clover Middle. Scoring for OMS were: shotput - Maddie McMullen, first, Deylon Harkey, fourth; 1600 meter - Jessica Keesler, second, Dezi Mei, third; 100 meter - Emma Johnson, first, Mindal Reese, third, Tiona Walls, fourth; 400 meter - Imani Rivas, first; sprint medley relay - Emma Johnson, Mindal Reese, Sydney Frascht and Tiona Walls, first; long jump - Cassidy Pierce, fourth; discus - Deylon Harkey, first, Jasmine Terrell, fourth; 800 meter - Mirie Ahn, second, Jessica Keesler, third, Alyssa Watkins, fourth; 200 meter - Emma Johnson, first, Imani Rivas, second; 4X400 relay- Melina Bowe, Sydney Frascht, Sara Nguyen and Maddie McMullen, first.
▪ The boys’ team placed second April 8. Lake King took a tough fall in the 400 meter open finish but competed in the 200 meter before seeking medical attention. Scoring for the Golden Eagles: 4x100 relay - Hezekiah Massey, Justin Liu, Hayden Johnson and Blake Keffer, second; 1600 meter - Collin Schmolze, first, Brandon Stiff, fourth; 100 meter - Hezekiah Massey, fourth; 400 meter - Lazarus Borges, second; sprint medley relay - Hezekiah Massey, Hayden Johnson, Justin Liu and Drew Brightman, second; discus - Blake Keffer, second, Isaiah Farmer, fourth; 800 meter - Brandon Stiff, first; Tony Daniels, third; 200 meter - Justin Liu, third; 4x400 relay - Lazarus Borges, Collin Schmolze, Tony Daniels and Drew Brightman, second.
Baseball
▪ OMS beat Sullivan Middle School 5-3 April 8. Jake Hylinski pitched another complete game earning four strike outs and giving up six hits. Offensively the team was led by Will Van Scoyoc - two hits, two RBIs and one walk. Also contributing were: Hunter Holland - one single and three RBIs, Kevin Riley - one single, Hylinski - one single.
