A cutting torch was used to break into the Lake Wylie Pharmacy, according to York County Sheriff’s Office report. Three pill bottles valued at more than $2,000 were stolen.
Deputies arrived April 26 at 221 Latitude Lane after an alarm sounded at 3:18 a.m., according to the report, to find the back door being held open by a rock. “The metal lock plate and lock had apparently been cut with some kind of cutting torch,” the report states.
Three pill bottles of Adderall, narcotics valued at $700 each, were reported missing, the report states. Nothing else appeared disturbed, however an inventory would be done to tell exactly which pills were missing from shelves, the report states.
Damage to the back door is valued at $500, the report states.
