Blue Eagle football spring game slated May 30
The Clover High School football team’s spring game will be at 9 a.m. May 30 at the newly-turfed practice field behind the high school.
“We’ve been pleased with the participation numbers at spring practices,” said CHS head football coach Chad Smith. “The players are working hard.”
Basketball
Clover High all girls basketball camp to be June 15-18
The Clover Lady Blue Eagles’ second annual all girls basketball camp will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. June 15-18 at Clover High School.
The girls’ basketball staff will direct the camp, with instruction by the Lady Blue Eagle coaching staff, players and former players.
Registration before the event is recommended. Final registration will be at 4:30 p.m. June 15.
The camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game, to include dribbling, footwork, shooting, defense and ball handling.

Golf
Lions tourney June 15
The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club is accepting applications for its annual golf tournament June 15 at River Hills Country Club.
Entry costs $125 per person, and includes green fees, cart, lunch and contest prizes, plus an awards cocktail party and barbecue dinner. Prizes range from $300 to $100 per team.
Among the prizes will be be four hole-in-one awards, along with closest to the pin awards.
Title sponsors are Earl Tindol Ford and Eason Roofing. Diamond sponsors are Greater Charlotte Automobile Dealers, Wellmore of Tega Cay and Sterling Bedding.

Lake Wylie team finishes at 81
Final results from the Carolinas Golf Association’s Senior Four-Ball Tournament May 18 at Kenmure Country Club in Flat Rock, N.C, included a Lake Wylie team.
Dave Duncan and Harold Fisher, both of Lake Wylie, finished 39-42 - 81 in the Super Senior 65 and older Flight B.
Tournament format is 18 holes of four-ball stroke play, both gross and net. Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has reached his 55th birthday by the tournament date, is a member of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association, and has a current USGA Handicap Index at a CGA member club. Volleyball
Clover volleyball camp set
The Clover High School volleyball camp will be June 22-25.
Camp for second- to fourth-graders is 10 a.m.-noon, and fifth- to eighth-graders 2-5 p.m. The cost is $65 per participant.
Camp instructors are CHS head volleyball coach Tamara Jacobus, assistant coaches and players.
