Mayworth’s Public House opens
A Montcross Area Chamber ribbon cutting kicked off an evening of live music and celebration at the opening of Mayworth’s Public House on Center Street in Cramerton.
The new restaurant, operated by Chuck Craig, is in the space formerly occupied by Center Street Tavern.

Greater Clover COC hosts Spearman

Botanical garden and Lyerly Agency host chamber
Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and Lyerly Agency teamed up to co-host Network After Work for the Montcross Area Chamber recently.
Garden Executive Director Kara Newport accepted a drawing of the then-proposed Canal Garden and Visitor Pavilion from Melia Lyerly of Lyerly Agency, who is the chairwoman the Chamber Board of Directors. The recently rediscovered drawing was made in 1996 before the first Botanical Garden buildings were built. Lyerly Agency worked on the initial fund-raising marketing campaign for the garden.
Belmont businesses celebrate openings
The Montcross Area Chamber will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at State Farm – Ryan Clarke agency, formerly Art Shoemaker agency, from 4 to 6 p.m. June 9 at 306 Belmont – Mount Holly Road.
A Network After Work event is planned for 5:30-7 p.m. June 11, at Greater Gaston Endoscopy Center, 920 Cox Road, Suite 201, Gastonia.
