Jim Wells has some new neighbors at his home on Lake Wylie: a family of osprey, including three new chicks.
“The osprey nest is very close to our home,” Wells said, “and when our grandson, his date and friends were here, as they were walking up the walk, the female that is sitting on the eggs became concerned and started flying around.”
Wells said the eggs hatched June 10.
“We are so lucky to have an osprey nest at our home,” he said. “I was able to get these pictures as the female flew near her nest.”
