Lions give $7K to PATH
The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club Charities donated $7,000 to PATH (People Attempting to Help).
PATH is a nonprofit organization that provides assistance for people in York County and its surrounding area.
The Lions Club raises about $100,000 annually through its fundraising events and its Community Foundation. To learn more about the foundation, call 803-831-0911.
Purple Heart group meeting July 15
Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 2008 Rock Hill meeting is 7 p.m. July 15 at VFW Hall, 732 W. Main St.

Ballroom Dance group meeting
The Ballroom Dance Club will meet 7:30-10:20 p.m. July 17 in the Oak Room at Fort Mill Golf Course Club House, 101 Country Club Drive.
A free dance lesson is included in the fee of $15 per couple, $7.50 for singles. The meeting is dressy casual. Adults of all ages and skill levels are welcome. No alcohol; light refreshments provided.

4-H offering beekeeping camp
4-H Youth Development, a part of Clemson Extension Service in York County, will host a beekeeping camp 10 a.m.-1 p.m. July 28-29 for ages 5 to 19 at the York Extension Office 120 N. Congress St.
Campers will learn the basics of beekeeping, bee’s jobs in the colony including how pollination takes place, the parts of the hive, the equipment beekeepers use and how honey is extracted. Campers will receive resources to take home and a sample of honey.

Sweet Repeat seeks donations
Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation seeks donations, especially furniture, for its thrift store at 4082 Charlotte Highway.
The store does not accept mattresses, computer items or televisions (unless flat screens). Donations are tax deductible.
Donations may be dropped off at the shed behind the plaza building 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Call the store at 803-831-0722 for details.
