Lake Wylie thrift store reports golf club donation stolen

A worker at Sweet Repeat Foundation Thrift Store reported golf clubs were stolen from the donation shed between 9 and 9:45 a.m. July 5 at 4083 Charlotte Highway in Lake Wylie Plaza.

According to a York County Sheriff’s report, Sherry Richardson reported a white male dropped off donations in the unlocked outdoor shed, then he took a bag of unknown brand and quality of golf clubs.

“Sherry reported the storage building remains open for individuals o drop items off, however, no one is supposed to remove anything from the building,” the report states.

A video shows the white male suspect driving a white four-door passenger car but was unable to clearly show a license tag.

The officer suggested posting a sign to explain the items in the unlocked building are not to be swapped or taken, the report states.
