CHS Midnight Madness July 31
Clover High School football fans are invited out for Midnight Madness at 12:01 a.m. July 31.
The event includes student and cheerleader support, and a fireworks display.
“We look forward to Midnight Madness and we know the fans do,” said head football coach Chad Smith.
The Blue Eagle football team started camp July 20 in Aiken. The football preseason action kicks off at 9 a.m. Aug. 6 with a scrimmaging against Broome. The Centurions are coached by former CHS head coach Jet Turner.
C2 Survival Training begins Aug. 3
Live Well Clover will offer a free six-week training program designed to prepare participants for a 3-plus mile obstacle race in September.
The Fit for Fall Challenge C2 Survival Training will prepare participants for obstacles including weighted bar carry, tire flip and hill runs.
Training begins Aug. 3 and will be held three days a week at 6:30 p.m. at Eng School of Self Defense, 501 S. Main St. Master Brian Boling will be the primary leader and will be assisted by other volunteers. The final challenge will be the C2 Survival Race on Sept. 19 at Camp Thunderbird, sponsored by the Steele Creek YMCA. All levels are welcome. Class size is limited to 30 and registration is required. Fit for Fall Challenge C2 Survival Training is a free, but the race has a registration fee.

Lake Wylie golfer qualifies for U.S. Amateur
Nick Eberhardt of Lake Wylie and River Hills Country Club employee has qualified for the 115th U.S. Amateur Championship.
Eberhardt traveled to the Camargo Club in Cincinnati, Ohio, to earn one of three qualifying spots at this site shooting 68 and 75. His 68 in the first round was the only score under par in the field.
After the 36-hole qualifier was suspended for stormy weather, the field had to return the following day to finish. He battled back his second round birdieing two of his last three holes to earn the third qualifying spot by one stroke.
Eberhardt is a rising senior at Winthrop University.
The 115th U.S. Amateur Championship is Aug. 17th-23 at Olympia Fields Country Club (North Course) in Olympia Fields, Ill.
LWAA fall baseball registration open
Registration is is open for Lake Wylie Athletic Association’s fall baseball season through Aug. 14.

Ticket renewals, upgrades available
The deadline for Clover High School season ticket renewals and updates is July 31.
“After this date, we cannot guarantee you will receive the same seats as last year,” athletic director Carroll Hester said. “For club membership, your order form must be received by July 31 for your name to be listed in the program.”
Prices reflect six home games. Parking passes are available in club membership packages only.
Club ticket orders include:
▪ Eagle Club membership, $102. Includes two reserved season tickets, $72; one reserved parking pass, $30.
▪ Gray Eagle Club: $174. Includes four reserved season tickets, $144; one reserved parking pass, $30; and program listing
▪ Blue Eagle Club: $246. Includes six reserved season tickets, $216; two reserved parking passes, $30 (one at no charge), program listing, diagram on back.
All membership packages include admission to JV and ninth grade football games. Optional tickets include:
▪ Reserved seat tickets, six home games, varsity only, $36.
▪ Employee/staff reserved seat ticket upgrade, $10 (one per employee).
▪ Senior citizen’s upgraded pass, $10 each. To upgrade, you must have a current Clover School District senior citizen’s pass. You may include a copy of your pass with ticket form or preset in person to Mary Gattis at Clover High School.

The Blue Eagle football season starts Aug. 21 against Westside at home at Memorial Stadium. CHS hosts Forestview Aug. 28.
The Blue Eagles have an open date Sept. 25 before opening Region 3-AAAA play Oct. 2 at Fort Mill.
