Start the year right: 5 tips from an expert
We’re about to go back to school.
I am going to be a sixth grader this year and here are five tips that I’ve been using since I was in kindergarten. Use these when the school year starts and you will make good friends, stay organized and people will like you (at least most of the time):
▪ Set your clock 15 minutes early so that you have plenty of time to get dressed, and you can hit the snooze button three times before you actually get up.
▪ Whatever you wear will be great. Like Mama Odie from the “Princess and the Frog” said, “It don’t matter what you look like.”
▪ Look at the school lunch the night before you go to school. Then you’ll know if you want to buy lunch or pack your lunch. Pro tip: Pizza dippers and tacos are the best school meal.
▪ Always have an extra-curricular activity. It’s a great way to make friends.
▪ Last of all, do your homework as soon as you get home from school so that when you are done, then you have the rest of the day to do whatever you want.
Have a great school year!
