Downpour didn’t stop father-and-son team from reeling in the win and biggest fish July 30 at Thursday Night Tournament Trail.

Brian and Cole Huskins worked through the summer heat and heavy rain to catch the winning weight of 15.55 pounds, said Erwin Gaston, who co-organizes the event with Jeremy Cabe. The duo also had the largest fish, in the field of 30 boats, tipping the scale at 6.37 pounds.

The team of Mike McDuffie and Casey West managed a close second place finish with 14.72 pounds, followed by Chris Bumgardner and Todd Auten with 13.71 pounds.

The trail is sponsored by Academy Sports, Kangaroo Express and A-1 Adams Bail Bonds Agency and Sparks Grading.
