Burn Boot Camp coming to Lake Wylie

A fitness concept for women called Burn Boot Camp is opening four facilities in the Charlotte area, including one near Lake Wylie.

Devan Kline, owner and chief executive officer of Burn Boot Camp, said the new facilities in Elizabeth, Mallard Creek and Lake Wylie will open Oct. 1, and another in Pineville will open Aug. 30.

Amanda Berger, who will run the Lake Wylie area location, said the facility will likely be in the Rivergate shopping center area.

The high-intensity boot-camp-style workouts are intended for busy women and run 45 minutes. The classes focus on mindset, clean eating and building muscle rather than weight loss. Free child care is offered at certain locations.

Burn Boot Camp operates North Carolina facilities in Concord, Cornelius, Denver, Durham, Huntersville, Matthews and Mooresville, according to its website.

The new locations are offering free 30-day trials. Details: lakewylie.burnbootcamp.com/rapid-fat-loss.
