Third man charged in Steele Creek homicide near Lake Wylie

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested three people in connection with the killing of Lake Wylie man.

Peter Gould Jr., 38, was charged Aug. 7. Daniel Blakeney, 35, and Tardra Bouknight, 31, are charged last week.

They are accused of killing David Doyle Jr., 64, who was found dead on July 19 after police received a call and searched a house on Plantation Woods Drive in the Riverpointe subdivision near Lake Wylie. Property records show Doyle owned a house on that street.

Gould is charged with murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to commit serious injury, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary, kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of auto, according to a police department news release.

Blakeney, 35, is charged with murder, two counts of an assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, kidnapping and larceny of auto, among other charges, police said. Bouknight is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and kidnapping among other crimes.
