Lake Wylie Bowl N’ Bounce at Lakeside West shopping center showed its customer appreciation by hosting the third annual Community Day for four hours Aug. 15.

The event included fire trucks, prize raffles, pet adoptions, dancing and martial arts demos and Jedi training. Guests were also asked to bring canned or nonperishable food donations for Second Harvest Food Bank.

“The Lake Wylie community has a history of embracing local businesses, and we have felt that partnership,” said Darrin Skinner, owner of Bowl N’ Bounce. “It’s a great opportunity before school starts to bring families together with other businesses and local services for fun and fellowship, with the added bonus of being able to support charities.”
