Clover students to report from Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas
Clover High School seniors Boston Henderson and Megan McCarter have been chosen as student correspondents for the 79th Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas on Dec. 19 in Spartanburg.
Henderson, son of Joe and Mitzi Henderson, is editor-in-chief of the school yearbook, member of Interact Club and a Boy Scout. He attended the Baldwin Pre-Collegiate Fellowship Conference for a course in business and investigative journalism. He also has been recognized for skills for workplace success and career advancement by the Gold National Career Readiness.
McCarter, daughter of Tony McCarter and Kelly Ratcliff, is on the yearbook staff, and has served on the editorial board and as business manager. She is a member of student council, French Club, 4-H, Project Unify-Special Olympics, National Honor Society and National French Honor Society.
The students will report daily on the team’s progress, interview players, coaches and staff members, and will be with the team the week leading up to the game. They also will create, write, edit and publish a daily newsletter that will be available online at http://shrine-bowl.com/.
