United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus performing. The Concert Band and Soldiers’ Chorus are the oldest and largest of the U. S. Army Field Band’s performing components. Two-day Civil War reenactment Oct. 24-25 includes cannon-firing demonstrations, historic archery demonstrations, camp life activities, presentations and children’s military drills. In addition to two battle reenactments at 2 p.m. each day, historical interpreters will tell the story of the Bratton family. Stan Clardy will present his one-man play “Soldiers in Gray” at 3 p.m. Saturday on the back porch of Hightower Hall. Period reproduction items and foods will be available for purchase.
