Business briefs: Lake Wylie chamber accepting board candidates

Chamber accepting board nominees

Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce has picked candidates for its board.

The nominating committee for directors of the chamber recommends five candidates to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors, beginning Dec. 1. They are: Don Long, community volunteer; Donna Bordeaux - Bordeaux and Bordeaux, CPAs; Fred Caldwell, Fred Caldwell Chevrolet; Jane DuBois, Lake Wylie Marketing and Lake Wylie Today; Doug McSpadden, McSpadden Custom Homes.

Additional candidates may be nominated by a petition with signatures of the primary representative of at least 10 qualified members of the chamber. Petitions must be filed by 5 p.m. Nov. 20.

ImageMark hosts chamber members

ImageMark Business Services of Gastonia hosted Montcross Area and Gaston Regional chambers of commerce for a networking reception at its 3145 Northwest Blvd. facility with tours of the 130,000-square-foot digital printing facility.

ImageMark President Walter Payne purchased the company in 1996 as a traditional print shop, which he renamed ImageMark. The company has grown and been selected by Kodak as a demonstration site to show customers from around the world.

Antique Mall opens boutiques section

Catawba River Antique Mall at 406 E. Catawba St. has opened a boutiques section featuring new merchandise.

Owners C.J. and Emory Vandiver celebrated the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Montcross Area Chamber members, vendors and customers.

The mall, with almost 300 vendors, also opened a wedding venue with chapel seating up to 240 and earlier this year opened a restaurant.
